This article applies to any CGI program running on Microsoft IIS.

Last Updated: 23 May 2002

Server error saying "not supported" when you try to run a CGI program.

If you get an error saying "Not Supported" then you haven't mapped your scripts directory correctly, or you haven't checked the Execute Permissions box, or you haven't set the file permissions correctly.

Follow the instructions that came with your web server to set the file permissions, user accounts, and script directory execute permissions.
