    Domain Time II Server

. Runs as a low-overhead, unattended system service on both x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit) Windows systems. No need to have a user logged in to serve or set the time.
. Receives and serves multiple time protocols (Domain Time [I, II, and II over HTTP], NTP/SNTP [RFC 1719], TIME [RFC 868 TCP, UDP], Daytime, LANMan TOD)
. Can be remotely installed, configured and monitored by Domain Time II Management Tools.
. Can be configured locally using its Control Panel Applet.
. All configuration changes require Administrator privileges.
. Clock change monitor prevents manual tampering with system time and date.
. Can configure up to four time sources, with automatic fail-over on both IP address and protocol.
. Has built-in test features to verify the availability of any time source or protocol.
. Can retrieve and/or serve time through firewalls using existing web proxies (HTTP and SOCKS4) using the Domain Time II over HTTP protocol
. Can act as a Master, Slave or Independent server in Domain Time II's highly-efficient time distribution hierarchy, with these benefits:
      1. Time updates are propagated extremely rapidly to every system on the network .
      2. A Master server can automatically set system-wide accuracy parameters of Slaves or Clients.
      3. A Slave server automatically inherits all its settings from a Master, requiring no additional configuration.
      4. A Slave server running on a Domain Controller will automatically assume the Master role if its machine is promoted to PDC.
      5. Support for multi-domain networks (Both NT resource domains and Windows Active Directory Forests).
. Can trigger immediate system-wide time synchronization or individual machine sync from the Control Panel applet.
. Has advanced and proprietary accuracy features, such as time source averaging, clock slewing, clock training, sanity checks, more.
. Includes Domain Time II Windows Time Agent (see below).

. All clients (except DTSet) run as unattended system services (daemons on UNIX and Linux). No logged in user is required to change the time.
. The Full and DTSet clients for Windows are multi-protocol, receiving Domain Time (I, II, and II over HTTP), NTP/SNTP (RFC 1719), TIME (RFC 868 TCP, UDP), LANMan TOD. Automatic clients use the Domain Time II protocol.
. Windows clients (except WFWG) can be remotely installed, configured and monitored by Domain Time II Management Tools.

. Clock change monitor prevents manual tampering with system time and date.
. All clients (except DTSet) can autodiscover Domain Time II Servers.
. All clients (except DTSet) can query a DHCP server to automatically obtain the IP address of a time server.
. Full and Thin Client can inherit their accuracy settings automatically from a Slave or Master server.
. Windows client services include Domain Time II Windows Time Agent (see below).
. Full and Thin Client have a System Tray Applet which allows launch of installed Domain Time II programs, audible chime sync signals, and a pop-up graphical Activity Monitor to view time protocol traffic in real-time.
. Windows clients (except WFWG and DTSet) have advanced accuracy features, such as time source averaging, clock slewing, clock training, sanity checks, clock change monitoring, more.
. Time statistics for all Clients (except DTSet) can be tracked using the Domain Time II Management Tools and Audit Server.
. Full Client has these additional features:
      1. It can be configured locally using the Control Panel Applet.
      2. It can be configured with up to four time sources, with automatic fail-over on both IP address and protocol.
